Join us for an introductory 1-hour workshop on trauma-informed/resilience-focused practices. Learn about the impact of stress and trauma, and how to cultivate your resilience and the resilience of those you work with. This workshop will be educational but you will also have the opportunity to tend to your own self-care. 

We welcome educators, community-based organization staff, social workers, and leaders of all kinds who are working to strengthen the resilience of youth and adults. We hope you can join us!

What is Resilience?

Resilience is the ability to recover from adversity, to bounce back or be transformed by it. When we know that we can handle difficult situations when they arise, we feel happier, safer, and more balanced.

ATJ’s 4 R’s of Resilience

By cultivating our own resilience and social-emotional capacity, we are better able to foster those skills in others. 
  • Reflect: Develop awareness of our thoughts, emotions, & sensations.
  • Regulate: Nurture a healthy nervous system.
  • Relate: Connect with others and foster positive, supportive relationships.
  • Repair: Embrace self compassion, seek forgiveness, & try again.
