As Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Development for Sony DADC, Derek is responsible for the design, development and execution of innovative digital supply chain solutions for customers across the media and entertainment industries. Prior to joining Sony DADC, Derek served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Digital Media Exchange (GDMX), a Warner Bros. company, where he was responsible for the day-to-day digital supply chain operations of a large production facility and vault operating units for broadcast media, DVD and video-on-demand. Before that, he served as Vice President of Asia Pacific & Latin America’s Regional Operations in Tokyo, where he oversaw day-to-day physical supply chain operations and the launch of new high-definition formats for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

Derek has also held positions with tech startup RiverOne and Accenture in their supply chain operations practices. While a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, Derek was a satellite systems integrator and held several engineering positions focusing on structural, mechanical and propulsion systems for medium-sized launch vehicles.

Derek is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine’s Paul Merage Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in astronautical engineering with military distinction from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
